This is a set of quotations;an epigram by Bertrand Russell and three haikus by Issa.
I liked the juxaposition of Russell’s jaundiced view of people’s prejudices and Issa’s
take on the place of flies (or even prejudices) in our life.
Every man, wherever he goes, is encompassed by
a cloud of comforting convictions, which move
with him like flies on a summer day.
Bertrand Russell

Look, don't kill that fly! It is making a prayer to you by wringing its hands, its feet. |
